What is a bunion?
A bunion is a structural irregularity where the underlying bones in your big toe are asymmetrical- it’s not just a bump. A bunion will not go away on its own.
When the big toe is pushed against the other toes, pushing the joint away from the rest of the toes a protruding bump appears on the joint of the big toe. The condition will only worsen as it continues to carry your body weight. Swelling, soreness, and calluses are common. Regularity of pain and limited motion indicate a worsening condition
